I had a little extra time this morning to catch up on some of the news that has been filling up my Facebook page recently.
Specifically, I wanted to catch up on a little story that has made big waves in the last couple of weeks regarding Australia’s Yellow Tail Wine and its $100,000 donation to the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS). Yellow Tail made the sizeable pledge through its "tails for tails" program, and will have a special display for its wines in stores across the country that features the HSUS logo.
It was a couple of weeks ago, while on the SFY mission trip to the International Poultry Expo in Atlanta, Ga., that I wrote a story for the Daily Globe about the HSUS and its agenda to end animal agriculture as we know it. Well, I also wrote a blog that spoke of the need for those of us in farm country to band together to protect our industry. This isn’t just an issue for livestock producers … where will all of that grain go if we no longer have cattle, hog and poultry operations?
Well, it seems many farmers across the country have decided the time has come to speak out against HSUS … and it has come at the expense of Yellow Tail Wine. Just visit the company’s Facebook page and you will quickly see for yourself.
Read one comment: Yellow Fail Facebook now has MORE Fans than Yellow Tail wine.
